CAAN Honors Journalists for Excellence in Aviation Reporting at 26th Anniversary

Kathmandu, Nepal: In a significant gesture to acknowledge the crucial role of media in aviation safety and awareness, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) recognized seven journalists for their outstanding contributions to aviation reporting during its 26th anniversary celebrations.

Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, presented certificates and cash rewards to the honored journalists in a ceremony held in Kathmandu. The recipients included Suraj  Kunwar from kantipur, Navin Aryal from Naya Patrika Daily, Achyut Puri from Online Khabar, Basanta Raj Upreti from Bijmandu News, Uttam Kapri from BiznessNews, Sabina Karki from Setopati, and Phurpa Sherpa from The Everest News.

Minister Pandey praised the journalists for their dedication to simplifying complex aviation information, highlighting their efforts as essential in enhancing public safety awareness and promoting the aviation industry. This recognition underscores CAAN's commitment to transparency and public engagement in Nepal's aviation sector, emphasizing the vital collaboration between regulatory bodies and media professionals.
