The official's foreign visit also goes for a long time, it usually happens on the eve of the purchase of goods and services. Just before any purchase, they go to destinations like India and Malaysia.

The current visit to Thailand has also taken place in a similar purchase situation. Instead of making any purchase transparent, they go to foreign countries and deal with it. From choosing a hotel to GSA, the officials themselves have reached the deal.
